The Bible starts with three simple words: “In the beginning.”
While many atheists see this as the way one might start a fairy tale, “Once upon a time,” I think these words have special meaning to us all. This is something that we can all agree on, whether theist, atheist or agnostic. There was, indeed, a beginning. Now, there are various ideas on what that beginning was but I think it is important to recognize that we do all agree on one thing: we weren’t always here.
